Kelly Wilmoth

Co-Founder & President

Kelly co-founded No Swine Left Behind with a simple belief: every pig deserves safety, compassion, and the opportunity to live as an individual, not a commodity. After seeing firsthand how few lifelong options existed for pigs in need, she helped build the kind of sanctuary where every resident would be valued as an individual and cared for for the rest of their life.

In addition to her paid full-time job, Kelly serves as NSLB’s full-time volunteer President, leading the organization and overseeing every aspect of its daily operations. From coordinating rescues and transports to managing medical care, fundraising, volunteer programs, educational outreach, and long-term planning, she works to ensure every resident receives the individualized care they deserve.

Kelly is especially passionate about changing the way people see pigs. Through education, transparency, and storytelling, she hopes to inspire compassion by helping others recognize pigs as intelligent, emotional beings with unique personalities, deep social bonds, and an undeniable capacity for joy.

She believes every animal has a story worth telling and that compassion begins when we take the time to see the individual, not the label. That philosophy guides every decision she makes and is at the heart of No Swine Left Behind’s mission.

For Kelly, No Swine Left Behind is about more than providing lifelong sanctuary. It’s about giving every resident the opportunity to heal, to be respected for who they are, and to finally know what it means to be safe.

When she’s not at her paid full-time job, you’ll almost certainly find her at the sanctuary. Whether she’s covered in mud, caring for residents, coordinating the next rescue, tackling a project, or simply sitting quietly with the pigs, there’s nowhere she’d rather be.

Want to join the NSLB team? We are always looking to expand our formal roles and looking for new committee chairs and board members. We are 100% volunteer-run; however, board and committee roles provide more than just a sense of giving back and being a part of something. These roles provide valuable opportunities for professional and/or academic growth, as well as community involvement. If you are interested in joining, please apply here or contact us with any questions.
